Berry Banana Smoothie

On-the-go summertime berry banana smoothie

  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (2% or Whole Milk)
  • 1 6 oz Container of your favorite flavored yogurt
  • 1/2 banana (frozen and sliced)
  • 1/3 cup milk (adjust depending on how thick you like your smoothies)
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen berries
  • 1 tsp honey

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  If you want it a little thiner, you can always add some more milk or a little water.
  2. I make double this because it will stay combined for a day or so stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.  Then you’ll have some for a few days.
  3. You can pour it over a strainer into another container to get rid of some of the seeds from the berries if you like.

I keep bananas in a ziplock bag in the freezer.  Once they start to get too ripe, peel them and place them in a ziplock bag.  They’ll keep for 6 months.  When you want to make a smoothie or banana bread or muffins, you’ll have plenty of bananas on hand.
